Julien Poirier Profile |
|||
Julien Poirier is an Energy Consultant at Willis where he performs energy audits of industrial facilities and investigates industrial energy-saving projects. In addition, Julien conducts GHG inventories and keeps track of climate change policies and evaluates how regulations affect clients. Julien recently completed a GHG inventory for Simon Fraser University’s four campuses. His previous work experience includes stints at large industrial facilities such as manufacturing plants and pulp and paper mills. Julien has applied for a patent for a saw blade which he developed: he used shape-memory alloys to stiffen the blade, forming a blade thinner than the standard in use and resulting in less waste in the cut. Julien holds a Masters of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering and an Honours Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from McGill University, and is a registered Engineer in Training (EIT) with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of B.C. (APEGBC) and registered Energy Manager in Training (EMIT) with the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE). He is fluent in English and French.
