Parminder Sandhu Profile

 

Parminder Sandhu has more than 16 years experience in the energy industry, including the supply side and the demand side, renewable power, and climate change issues. His business experience encompasses strategy development, operational management, marketing, and engineering. He has worked closely with industrial and commercial energy users, government, electric and gas utilities, power producers, and non-governmental organizations. He maintains a tremendous network of contacts within these sectors and has frequently been featured as a speaker. He has managed the full program life-cycle of both industrial and commercial demand side management programs. He has successfully completed the Certified Energy Manager training, completed numerous measurement and verification studies to IPMVP standards, and provided engineering reviews of over 50 energy efficiency and conservation projects. He has also been a member of several organizations and boards to further energy efficiency including the National Industrial Working Group on Energy Efficiency, Pump Systems Matter, Compressed Air Challenge, and the Electrical Energy Reduction in Mechanical Pulping Initiative at UBC. His education and business experience passionately brings science, engineering, economics, and marketing together towards a sustainable energy future. Parminder holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Victoria and is a registered Professional Engineer in the province of B.C.
