Paul Willis Profile

Paul Willis has more than 30 years experience in the energy field, encompassing energy management, marketing, research and development, project management, detailed and conceptual design, and commissioning and acceptance. Paul is recognized as an expert in energy management and planning for large commercial and industrial customers, including the regulatory development and application of stepped rates, and he has appeared as an expert witness before regulatory bodies on behalf of both utilities and end users. In addition, he has designed and assisted in the implementation of a number of demand-side management programs. Paul has participated in a number of thermal power projects from detailed design work to arranging power sale contracts. His technical expertise is in the areas of heat transfer, combustion, industrial process systems, and the optimization of large power and heating systems. Paul was previously President and is still a Director of the Independent Power Producers of B.C. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the province of B.C. and is a Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP) by the Association of Energy Engineers.
